Introducing Serena! This gentle, loving, soft-souled girl who also happens to be a professional snuggler came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Control. Serena’s  past wasn’t kind to her, having spent most of her early life shut away in a basement but you’d never know it from how loving, trusting, and gentle she is today. Serena is sure to not let her past define her! She now spends her days relaxing… and cuddling with our amazing foster Noah while she waits for her furever home! Serena is the full package: friendly, calm, affectionate, polite, wiggly in the cutest way, and always ready to cozy up right beside you. She loves her humans fiercely but gently, with the kind of presence that fills a room without ever overwhelming it. This sweet girl loves to show off her toothy smile when she’s excited, feeling extra loved, or wants to make you laugh! At home, Serena splits her time between relaxing, snuggling, and playing with her toys. Some of her favorites are plushy toys and bones! Although Serena loves her toys, you don’t need to worry about her not sharing, she shares well, and never guards them. She wants to include you in the fun! Serena is gentle when she plays, sometimes giving soft little hops or happy runs. This sweetie loves a good walk. She enjoys exploring the neighborhood and moves at a calm, easy pace. Serena is in no rush and walks beautifully on leash with zero pulling and greets other dogs with a happy tail and friendly manners. How could she be more perfect?! Oh wait, there’s more! Serena is fully housebroken, has zero accidents, and when she needs to go potty she’ll let you know by going to the door. During car rides, she will quietly curl up in the backseat or look out the window thoughtfully, pondering life’s mysteries. A true passenger princess! This girl isn’t about the drama either, when left alone, she will settle easily into her crate and nap peacefully until you come home. Serena would love a family that will give her lots of love and  attention!

Please review our adoption policies before submitting an application.

**Serena is on a temporary medical hold while we complete her vet testing. We took Serena into rescue knowing there was a possibility she had cancer. We were committed to giving her every chance and every bit of care she deserved. She’s worth it. The great news is that a bladder mass- including cancer, has been fully ruled out. She still has some blood in her urine, we are awaiting the results of her urine culture and additional diagnostics to make sure she gets the best care possible.
