Echo
July 2024
I just wanted to send an updated on Echo. She has been with us 7 months now! Not gonna lie, even though we already loved her, it was a bit rocky at first, but what dog isn’t?! I think we have finally gotten a handle on her digestive issues and crazy obsessiveness with balls! We love her to pieces and can’t imagine life without her and her adorably crazy antics!
She loves wrestling with Noggin, playing fetch, swimming, belly rubs and being with her boys! Our trainer adores her and she is doing great with training. We go for mini-pack walks with Noggin, our trainer and his dog and she keeps us entertained, all while showing great manners and being an amazing breed ambassador. We are looking at getting her into agility or possibly dock diving.
Last week we went up to a camp in Maine and she loved it! She hiked, swam, kayaked, ate marshmallows, snuggled and of course played with her balls!
Thank you so much for rescuing our little Loonie Toon!
Annie
February 2024
We recently heard from one of our incredible adopters who welcomed their sweet girl Annie to their family at 11 years young in February of 2020! We are thrilled to share this update from them
“Annie obtained her Canine Good Citizenship certification through the MSPCA in January 2022 and we are happy to report that she passed the exam with flying colors. She has had 3 cancers – mast cell tumor, anal gland adenocarcinoma, and hemangiosarcoma – the last one diagnosed in June 2022 and she was given 1-3 months to live but she is one resilient pup. While she had surgeries for all of them, unfortunately the anal gland adenocarcinoma has returned but she doesn’t let that get her down. She still has a lot of spunk in her and loves exploring new places, swimming, and vanilla ice cream. She still surprises us by running around some days but as she’s gotten older she’s learned how to use ramps to get to her backyard and sit in a stroller for our longer walks. She also got to help marry us in our backyard in October 2022. Her other highlights since we last spoke are agility classes at the MSPCA, making new dog friends in the neighborhood, and going on lots of trips to the lake, the mountains, and the beaches of Cape Cod. We are still so thankful for our senior girl and feel blessed for every extra day we have with her.”
