💕 Meet Darling! 💕

Darling truly lives up to her name. She came to us from our friends @bostonanimalcontrol after being found as a severely emaciated stray. When she first arrived, it was clear she had been through so much—she was broken, frightened, and badly mistreated. She couldn’t make eye contact, walk down the stairs, or even wag her tail. But within just one day, her foster family began to see something beautiful happening: a little light starting to come back.. And now? Darling is SO HAPPY. Her whole body wiggles with excitement, she gives endless kisses, and she’s discovering that the world can actually be a wonderful place. 💗

She’s still learning how to “dog” but she gains confidence every day. She loves to frolic, prance, play, and explore, but she also settles beautifully and is perfectly content curled up in her person’s lap while they work or read. She’s a true cuddle bug who wants to be wherever her people are—and yes, she absolutely needs to sleep in your bed. 🥰

Darling is learning about toys and has recently discovered tug, chasing balls, and the joys of chewing on a good pig ear. She walks nicely on leash and she would LOVE a fenced yard where she can zoom and prance to her heart’s content. She’s also been good with cats! 🐱💕

She is still working hard on house training, so her new family will need to continue helping her learn. Most importantly, Darling needs someone who understands her journey and will continue showing her that she is safe, loved, and never needs to be afraid again.

And perhaps the best thing about Darling? After everything she’s been through, she chose love. She wakes up every morning ready to wiggle her entire body, shower her person with kisses, and celebrate another day of being safe. Her foster says her morning routine brings endless joy—and we can absolutely see why. 💗🐾

Darling is ready for a family who will give her a safe home, a yard to frolic in, a bed to sleep in, and a whole lot of love. This sweet girl has so much happiness left to discover. 🥹💕
